Jewellery store website design that gets people into the shop

Almost nobody buys a gold set online from a shop they have not visited. What they do online is decide which shop to visit. They look at your designs, work out whether your range fits their budget and their occasion, and then walk in already knowing what they want to see.

That is what a jewellery website is for, and it is why a catalogue with clear photos and honest categories beats a checkout button for most Indian jewellers. We build for the visit, not the cart.

What sells a jewellery shop online

We built a site for a one gram gold shop in Bardoli and the pattern was immediate. People browsed the catalogue on a phone, saved two or three designs, and arrived at the counter with screenshots. The site's job is to make that journey short and to make the shop feel worth the trip. Textile and saree shops work almost identically, and that is covered on the saree and textile website design page.

01

A catalogue organised the way people shop

By occasion and by category, so bridal, daily wear, one gram gold, rings, chains and bangles each have a page. A single long gallery makes a visitor scroll past everything and remember nothing.

02

Photos that survive a phone screen

Jewellery lives or dies on the photograph. We compress and size images so the catalogue loads fast on mobile data without turning gold grey, and lay them out so a design can be tapped and seen large.

03

Enquire on WhatsApp, buy in the shop

Every design carries a prefilled WhatsApp button so a customer can ask about weight, making charges or availability in one tap, and the message arrives already saying which piece they mean.

Proof, not promises

Retail sites we have built that are live

The first link is a working jeweller site we designed and shipped. The others are retail businesses in adjacent trades, and they show how we handle catalogues, product photography and shop enquiry flows. More is in the portfolio.

What is included in a jewellery site

  • Catalogue split by category and by occasion
  • Product tiles with photo, name and short description
  • Prefilled WhatsApp enquiry on every design
  • New arrivals and festive collection sections you can refresh
  • About the shop, with the family history that builds trust
  • Location page with map, timings and click to call
  • Compressed, correctly sized images so the catalogue loads fast
  • Titles, descriptions, sitemap and structured data at launch

A reskin of one of our retail designs on your shop's brand costs ₹6,000. An original build starts at ₹10,000, and a larger catalogue with collection pages and a blog sits at ₹20,000. The full breakdown is on the services and pricing page.

Ask for the admin panel option if you add designs regularly. You log in, upload a photo, name the piece, pick the category, and it appears on the site. For a shop adding new stock every month that pays for itself quickly.

On selling online: we can add a payment gateway, and for lighter items like one gram gold or imitation jewellery it can genuinely work. For heavy gold, be honest with yourself about whether your customer will pay online without seeing the piece. Most will not, and building a checkout they never use is wasted money.

Questions we get asked before every project

Should my jewellery website sell online or just display?
For most Indian jewellers, display and enquiry. Customers want to see and feel gold before paying, so the site's job is to bring them into the shop with a design already in mind. Online selling works better for one gram gold, imitation and silver at lower price points, where the risk of buying unseen is small. We will give you a straight opinion based on what you sell rather than upselling a checkout.
What does a website actually cost?
Reskinning one of our ready made designs with your logo, colours, photos and content costs ₹6,000. An original build starts at ₹10,000 for a four to five page site, ₹20,000 for a seven to eight page site with listings and a blog, and ₹40,000 for a full custom booking flow with post launch support. Those are the real numbers, published rather than quoted after a discovery call.
Do you show prices on the catalogue?
That is your call and both work. Showing prices filters out the people who were never going to buy at your level and brings you better enquiries. Hiding them keeps flexibility when gold rates move daily. A common middle path is showing an approximate range or making charges rather than a fixed number, and updating it seasonally.
Who takes the product photos?
You do, or a local photographer. Photography matters more than design on a jewellery site, so it is worth doing properly. A plain background, consistent lighting and the same angle across the catalogue will do more for you than any layout we can build. We will tell you honestly if the photos are letting the site down.
Do I need to buy the domain and hosting separately?
A .com or .in domain costs roughly ₹800 to ₹1,200 a year and you buy it in your own name, so you own it. Hosting for the sites we build is free on Vercel's starter plan for normal business traffic. We set both up with you and hand over the logins. We do not resell hosting or hold your domain hostage.
How long does it take?
Three to five days for a reskin once your photos arrive. Seven to ten working days for a four to five page original build. Twelve to fifteen for a bigger catalogue with collection pages. The photos are almost always the slow part, so start there.

Send us a few photos and your shop name, and see the catalogue live

We will build a working version on your brand and send you the link. You judge it on your own phone before paying anything.
